Caamaño se compromete a trabajar sin descanso para el desarrollo de la aviación civil
“Me comprometo a trabajar sin descanso para que las organizaciones que conformamos el sector ayudemos al desarrollo de la aviación civil nacional, al fomento del turismo y con ello a la dinamización de nuestra economía”, manifestó el titular del IDAC.
El funcionario sostuvo que, en momentos en que el mundo se ha visto afectado por la crisis provocada por la pandemia del COVID-19, cuenta con un personal altamente capacitado y comprometido con los mejores intereses del país.
Destacó que como parte del cambio impulsado por el presidente Luis Abinader, tanto él como el equipo de técnicos que le acompaña y las instituciones afines al ámbito aeronáutico se comprometen a ejecutar una gestión transparente e igualitaria, promoviendo la participación de la mujer en las áreas misionales del IDAC, así como manteniendo los estándares requeridos por la Organización de Aviación Civil Internacional (OACI).
Como dato interesante, Caamaño resaltó que el país ha tenido un reavivamiento de las operaciones aéreas desde el mes de noviembre a la fecha y que para las siguientes semanas se espera un incremento de vuelos provenientes de otros países durante la época navideña, lo que es importante para la actividad aeronáutica.
“Junto a un personal altamente capacitado laborando en nuestra institución, me comprometo a garantizar la seguridad del espacio aéreo nacional para todos los usuarios del transporte aéreo que nos visitan, responsabilidad que cumpliremos a cabalidad y con los protocolos requeridos”, reiteró.
Entre las metas que se propone figura la superación del mayor de los retos en la historia de la aviación civil, que no es otro que la casi paralización del sistema ante la situación mundial, indicando que “sólo podremos lograrlo con unión e integración y la oportunidad de un cambio positivo”.
A los actos conmemorativos del Día Internacional de la Aviación Civil acompañaron al director general del IDAC funcionarios y personal técnico y administrativo de ese organismo, así como invitados especiales ligados al sector aeronáutico nacional, entre ellos el presidente de la Junta de Aviación Civil (JAC) José Marte Piantini, el general de brigada Carlos Febrillet Rodríguez, director general del Cuerpo Especializado en Seguridad Aeroportuaria y de la Aviación Civil (CESAC) y el mayor general piloto Leonel Amílcar Muñoz Noboa, comandante general de la Fuerza Aérea de República Dominicana.
La eucaristía fue oficiada por el párroco de la Catedral Primada de América, Nelson Clark y la ofrenda floral en el Altar de la Patria fue depositada bajo las notas de la banda de música de la Fuerza Aérea de la República Dominicana, dirigida por el primer teniente Ezequiel Matos Féliz.
Con ambos eventos también se celebra el XIV aniversario de la promulgación de la ley 491-06, con la que quedaron establecidas las diferentes entidades que hoy son las responsables de la aviación civil en el país.
El Día Internacional de la Aviación Civil se celebra mundialmente el 7 de diciembre. En 1997 la asamblea general de las Naciones Unidas lo proclamó oficialmente. Su propósito es generar y fortalecer la conciencia mundial sobre la importancia de la aviación civil para el desarrollo social y económico de los Estados. Ese día se conmemora también la creación de la Organización de Aviación Civil Internacional (OACI) en 1944.
