Con la entrega de 25,000 mil pollitas, a distintos productores de Pollo, en la Luisa, provincia Monte Plata, el ministro de Agricultura Limber Cruz y el Director del programa Siembra RD, dieron inicio a este programa basado en la producción local de alimentos.
El Ministro enfatizó la importancia de motorizar todos los sectores productivos del país para poder contrarrestar el posible impacto que podría tener en República Dominicana la alerta realizada por la FAO (Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura) sobre posible incremento del hambre por altos precios y el conflicto Rusia-Ucrania.
A su vez el Director del programa Siembra RD Agrónomo Leonardo faña invito a todos los productores y agricultores del país a acercarse a las instituciones involucradas, para acceder a las facilidades que ha dispuesto el gobierno dominicano.
Se recuerda que el pasado mes de Mayo, en el lanzamiento oficial de programa Siembra RD, el Presidente Luis Abinader motivo a la población involucrada “a sembrar cada patio, cada rincón del país, cada espacio de suelo donde pueda crecer una planta o criarse una gallina vamos a ponerlo a producir para que en la mesa de la familia dominicana nunca falte la comida»
En el acto estuvieron presentes, director del IAD Guillermo García García, la gobernadora de Monte plata Rafaela Javier Gomera, el Director Provincial del Banco Agrícola entre otras autoridades.
