RELANZAN PLAN DE SEGURIDAD CIUDADANA EN SANTO DOMINGO OESTE

La alcaldía de Santo Domingo Oeste y el Ministerio de Interior y Policía relanzaron HOY el Plan de Seguridad Ciudadana en este municipio con el propósito de controlar los altos niveles de criminalidad en esta demarcación, que según las autoridades, es el de mayor índice de violencia de la provincia Santo Domingo.

El Ingeniero José Andújar dio las gracias al presidente Luis Abinader por su interés en reducir los niveles de criminalidad en el país, y en este caso en el municipio Santo Domingo Oeste, así como al señor Jesús Vásquez, Ministro de Interior y Policía, por empeñarse en trabajar con la integración de todos en ese propósito.

Reconoció la labor que realizan las juntas de vecinos, las iglesias, los grupos sociales, deportivos y culturales del municipio para colaborar en los programas destinados a frenar la criminalidad y violencia, que tanto afectan a los ciudadanos.

El ingeniero Andújar garantizó que la Alcaldía trabajará cien por ciento y a tiempo completo para que esos programas preventivos en favor de la ciudadanía rindan los efectos a que aspira el presidente Abinader y todos los ciudadanos de Santo Domingo Oeste.

“Estamos convencidos de que lo vamos a lograr”, precisó el alcalde para señalar que con la reducción de la violencia y la criminalidad en Santo Domingo Oeste ganan todos los sectores que cohabitan en esa demarcación territorial.

De igual manera, el ministro de Interior y Policía sostuvo que la seguridad ciudadana es un tema de nación, porque cuando un delincuente agrede a una persona no pregunta de qué partido es, ni averigua raza, color, ni religión.

Vásquez advirtió que si en ese municipio no se controlan la violencia y la criminalidad no podrá haber ningún nivel de desarrollo en beneficio de los habitantres de esa localidad.

Además del Alcalde Andújar y Vásquez, estuvieron presentes en la actividad Angela Jáquez, viceministra de Interior y Policía; Julia Drullart, Gobernadora de la provincia Santo Domingo; Franklin Grullón, Director Regional de la Policía Nacional; Edward López Ulloa, Fiscal de Santo Domingo Oeste; el coronel Ramón Peña Adames, director DIGESETT en Santo Domingo Oeste.

También la vice-síndica Felipa Gómez y Félix Encarnación, presidente del Consejo de Regidores de Santo Domingo Oeste.

La señora Jáquez dijo que las estadísticas del 2020 dicen que Santo Domingo Oeste tiene una tasa de homicidios delincuencial de 0.7, igual a la del Distrito Nacional que tiene tres veces la cantidad de habitantes de este municipio, lo que significa que tiene una tasa de 2.2 por cada 100 mil habitantes, la más alta de toda la provincia Santo Domingo.

Amplió que también tiene la tasa más alta de homicidios por drogas, con 0.9 por cada 100 mil habitantes contra 0.8 del Distrito Nacional, mientras que la de muertes por accidentes de tránsito fue de 19.3%, la cual es muy alta.

En el acto, el Director de Participación Comunitaria del cabildo de Santo Domingo Oeste, Amaury Sánchez, dijo que para la implementación de ese programa con efectividad es necesario integrar a las juntas de vecinos y demás organizaciones sin fines de lucro del municipio que están dispuestas a trabajar para que el mismo sea una realidad.
