Turismo inicia remozamiento del malecón de Santo Domingo Este
Santo Domingo Este.- El presidente Luis Abinader y el ministro de Turismo, David Collado, dejaron iniciados este lunes los trabajos de mejoramiento del malecón de Santo Domingo Este, que tendrá un costo de casi 500 millones de pesos.
El proyecto, que cuenta con presupuesto preciso de RD$495,119,268.89, consiste en proveer un espacio de esparcimiento en todo el litoral marino en la avenida España, comprendido desde las instalaciones de la Marina de Guerra hasta la autopista Las Américas.
Además, dentro de esta intervención, se ampliarán las aceras a 6.50 mts. de ancho, para así poder comprender la ciclovía a todo lo largo del litoral.
La obra, que se convertirá en un verdadero atractivo para visitantes y residentes del municipio de Santo Domingo Este, se ejecutará bajo supervisión del Comité Ejecutor de Infraestructuras de Zonas Turísticas (CEIZTUR) del MITUR.
El presidente Abinader destacó la importancia de la obra para todo el municipio de Santo Domingo Este.
“Por eso hoy, me alegra ver como un espacio con tantas opciones como este malecón, se transforma para empujar y dinamizar la zona”, dijo el mandatario.
Entiende el presidente Abinader que “ este municipio tiene aún mucho que ofrecer, y no duden nunca que aquí hay un gobierno que siempre estará con ustedes para empujar en esa dirección. El cambio es en todo y para todos”.

Collado destacó la importancia de la obra y el impacto que tendrá en toda la comunidad, en especial entre pequeños comerciantes y microempresarios de la zona.
“Esta obra tendrá un impacto directo en la propuesta turística de Santo Domingo Este, que es muy diversa”, manifestó el funcionario.
“Como le habíamos prometido a los residentes de Santo Domingo Este, el pasado octubre 2021, estamos aquí, junto al presidente Luis Rodolfo Abinader Corona, dejando iniciados los trabajos de Mejoramiento del Malecón de Santo Domingo Este, atendiendo así, un viejo reclamo de esta comunidad”, dijo el ministro de Turismo.
La intervención del Proyecto a todo lo largo del litoral tiene contemplado la señalización de vías en bajo relieve, Ciclovía de 2 carriles, 2.50 mts. de ancho.
Además, incluye un Parador fotográfico en hormigón, distintivo del proyecto, senderos peatonales que conectan todos los micro acentos, así como también, la regeneración de las áreas verdes existentes, iluminación, construcción de imbornales, badenes y contenes para el correcto curso de las aguas.
A la actividad asistieron las principales autoridades provinciales y municipales, entre los que se encontraban la gobernadora, Julia Drullard, y el alcalde Manuel Jiménez, quienes valoraron la importancia de la obra.
