Ministro de Interior ve imprescindible interacción de gobiernos locales para bienestar de la población
Santo Domingo.- El ministro de Interior y Policía, Jesús Vásquez Martínez, calificó como indispensable para el país la interacción de los gobiernos locales para lograr el bienestar de la población.
Manifestó que los representantes de esos gobiernos juegan un rol de primer nivel a la hora de encarar, detectar y dar solución a los problemas que aquejan a los munícipes del país.
Vásquez Martínez habló al juramentar a Víctor de Aza, nuevo secretario general de la Liga Municipal Dominicana, en su calidad de presidente ex oficio de esa institución.
“Desde el Ministerio de Interior y Policía podemos afirmar que hemos encontrado unos alcaldes y alcaldesas dispuestos a trabajar, a integrarse, y a generar una adecuada interacción con el gobierno central”, dijo.
Expuso que una muestra de ello son Las Mesas Locales de Seguridad Ciudadanía y Género, que en tan solo 5 meses se han integrado en 121 municipios del país, de manera entusiasta, sin importar colores y partidos políticos.
Informó que en los próximos dos meses estarán integradas la totalidad de las Mesas Locales de Seguridad, Ciudadanía y Género en los 158 municipios del país, como muestra del trabajo ininterrumpido y sin descanso por parte del gobierno central.
Ética y transparencia
El ministro Vásquez Martínez consideró propicio resaltar el deber de honrar la memoria del natalicio de Juan Pablo Duarte, para lo cual entregó a Víctor D’ Aza un cuadro de la rendición de cuentas del patricio, a quien considera un modelo de un comportamiento ético y transparente.
Y la mejor manera de iniciar la actual gestión de un nuevo secretario general de la Liga Municipal Dominicana, para el periodo 2021-2025, ha sido con la firma de un compromiso con la Dirección de Ética e Integridad Gubernamental, que dirige la doctora Milagros Ortiz Bosch.
Refirió que la Liga es una entidad de asesoría en materia técnica y de planificación, cuyas funciones son caminar de la mano con los municipios en procura del desarrollo integral del territorio y la calidad de vida de sus poblaciones.
Expuso, en ese sentido, que “ya iniciamos un diálogo con la Liga Municipal Dominicana y los principales ayuntamientos del país, para fortalecer en todos los municipios la Policía Municipal, reforzando el entrenamiento y formación de la misma”.
Asimismo, para integrar a los gobiernos locales el Plan Nacional de Seguridad Ciudadana y Convivencia Pacífica que impulsa el Ministerio de Interior y Policía, contando con todo el apoyo y determinación del Señor Presidente de la República, Luis Abinader Corona.
Vásquez Martínez vaticinó que en la Liga Municipal Dominicana se hablará de un antes y un después de la gestión de Víctor D’ Aza.
